Tarantula that I didn't want to mow over, so I moved him to the sidewalk.  Posted by Hello
Hello, well I mowed the yard this morning. I started a little after 7:00 & finished at 9:50. The weeds are growing very fast. I found a Tarantula while mowing (see my picture).

I will go into town after a while & go to the bank, mail the electric bill, pay the water bill, stop at the grocery store for a couple of things. (Overall, an exciting day for me) I will go to Laredo tomorrow & do a couple of errands up there.

Today is the 17th day of me exercising. I have been doing stretching exercises pretty much every day. Then I either jog my 1.5+ miles or lift weights. (I have 2-6 lb. dumbbells, so I just do lots of reps).

It is still very hot down here (duh!) 100 yesterday & 102 the day before...it doesn't end...

Not too much else new...

Be good everybody

Purple Sage blooming in the Outback Posted by Hello

Acacia trees in bloom after the rain Posted by Hello
Hello, I got my computer back up & running yesterday...now it's a matter of trying to see what all I can get back on it (downloads, programs that I have on disk, etc.).

Lots of other things have happened (nothing great though).
On Sunday, I went out to the porch to get a soda out of the fridge out there (I have a mini fridge on the back porch for soda, water, beer) & I wondered what that electrical cord on the floor in back of it went to...well, it was not an electrical cord, it was a snake! I have no idea how long it had been on the porch (I don't think very long), but it liked the area right behind the mini fridge. Gramma wanted me to kill it (it wasn't a rattlesnake, so I didn't want to kill it). After about 5 minutes, I finally got it out the door. I believe it was some sort of Garter Snake, it was quite long...close to 3 feet.

I mowed the yard Wednesday of last week, then Thursday we got 2.75 inches of rain...so I am going to have to mow again, probably tomorrow. A mid-summer rain down here really makes things grow & bloom.

I talked to my friend Melissa yesterday. We hadn't talked for almost 2 months. She is so great, I wish that we weren't a thousand miles apart...

Well, providing that my hard drive doesn't crap out on me again, I'm going to try to keep my Blog updated again...

Be good everybody
