Hello there...Yes, I have been bad about updating my Blog. I've had lots of exciting (considering how boring my last 3 months have been) things happening to me...
Let's see. Probably the most exciting thing was I went up to San Antonio on Tuesday to pay a visit to my friend Heather. Her birthday is today (Happy Birthday!), and she starts school on Monday to become a Dental Hygienist. She has been going to lots of orientations & stuff like that over the past couple weeks, so I'm glad that we got to spend some time together. We had to cut things short (her daughter was ill--fever & diarrhea), but I think we both had a nice time (actually, her words were "great time"). I made an Angel food cake on Monday & got some strawberries &amp;amp; cut them up & mixed them a little & took it (I left some for Gramma too) with me up to S.A. I think Heather appreciated the gesture.
Second exciting thing for me; I got on the scale Thursday morning & I was bumming...It said 210. But then I looked again & it wasn't 210---it was 200!!! That made me really happy. I'm certain that my weight has not been this low for at least 12 years. I read (maybe in USA today) that the most common waist size for men now was 36 (which is what I wear now). I only moved back down to a 36 inch waist in January...So I guess that physically I must be in better shape since moving down here (mentally & fiscally are different matters).
What else...I got a Jury Duty summons for this Monday. So we'll see what happens there.
We had about a week to 9 days of below 100 degree temperatures (actually there was one morning earlier this week where it was below 70 when I went out jogging!). But the heat is back now. 105 on Thursday & 104 yesterday. We have not had rain for quite a while now. "My" pond is almost completely dried up. I'm sure that without rain, by this time next week, there will be no water in it.
I am enjoying my exercising (although I've only added $5 to my "traveling" account--my trip up to S.A. easily ate up that $5 & then some). What I need to do is find some exercises that will help me lose my "gut". I think that my arms & upper chest have become nicely toned, but it looks odd with my big belly.
Let's see, what else is going on...School started here on Wednesday.
This morning after I exercised, I pulled some Landscaping Timbers from the ground that was enclosing a flower bed on the south side of the house & moved them to the inside of the fence on the South side of my back "yard", & got them staked back into the ground.
Planning on grilling burgers tonight.
I'm going to go find a piece of fruit for breakfast now...
