Hello. Well, I am in agony...After my interview on Thursday, Peggy (The Director of the local Chamber of Commerce) told me that she'd call me the next morning. I waited & waited & I finally called about 3:30 & she was not in...So I agonized about the job all weekend. Early this afternoon, I get a call, asking me to come in at 3:30 (good news, I'm hoping). She just wanted to see what I could do in Word, Excel & Outlook. I don't think that I did so great in Word. She asked me to reformat some things...I did it, but not quite the way she wanted them to be. Then I was asked to create a cover sheet as if it was for a presentation, that went fine. She then asked me to create a table in Excel & do a "Sum" formula in one of the columns--no problem. Finally, she asked me to send an e-mail from Outlook (again no problem) & she asked me to set it up so that the little "reminder" in the lower right hand corner of the screen came on when she had new mail. It took me some hunting, but I figured it out (she thanked me for that). So again, she says that she will call me tomorrow...I really don't want to sound like too much of a drama que...umm king, but if I can get this job, this takes maybe not the whole world off my shoulders, but 5 continents & 4 oceans for sure...(Australia is on it's own)

95 degrees so far today, that's about 10 degrees above normal, it's only been getting down into the upper 70's at night, so we really can't open the windows. No changes on the horizon either...
high humidity makes it feel above 100 degrees.

Gramma received a birthday card from my cousin Gail (actually my Mom's cousin) back in Missouri, she sent a picture of Gramma, her 3 sisters & one brother & her Mother from "back in the day" (I'd guess late 1930's, early 1940's). It's a nice picture. Her brother Virgil is holding a rooster (I just thought it was funny, holding a rooster) , but that's Missouri for ya'!

Don't know much else, I just hope I will be employed (or about to be employed) this time tomorrow...

Be good everybody
