Another picture of the "destruction". I know it will grow back, but it really eliminated a nice path for the birds to travel from the river.
You can see where they cleared out lots of brush...leaving things kinda open.
Not a great picture--another butterly called a "White Peacock" on a Castor Bean pod
A butterfly called a "Tropical Leafwing"
Trail at Zapata City Park (they did a great job of clearing it out--there were downed trees & it was hard to walk through there)
Picture of the Moon from the eclipse a couple of weeks back
Hello, well I am still working, still liking my job too. I have been trying to build a Microsoft Access database for the office. I hope to have it "fully loaded for bear" and running by the end of the week.
Friday night, I was grilling burgers outside, when I noticed a warped piece of wood on the house (I don't know what the piece is called, it's the top piece on the side, right underneath the roof--I know there's a name for it... Anyway) Yesterday I went up there to check it out, went to the hardware store & replaced the warped piece of wood. I was pretty proud of myself...as Red Green says (If the women don't find you handy, hope they find you handsome--well I'm neither).
Saturday, I went to Laredo and stopped at Target, Best Buy & H.E.B.. I'm not a big fan of going to Target on Saturdays. I will guarantee you that a minimum of 50% of the vehicles in the parking lot are from Mexico (I bet it's closer to 75%). Just more people wandering aimlessly through the store.
Sunday morning I went down to the City Park in town, looking for birds. They have really cleared out the area around the Golf Course that borders the park (I don't feel it's a good thing for birds).
I took some pictures of the goings on. I took some pictures of a couple of butterflies too.
I need to get to bed, so I'll post these pictures & get to sleep.
Be good everybody.
