Roger's Sailing in a Strange Boat Blog

Hello everybody

I can't belive it's been over 3 weeks since I last updated my Blog. I guess I've been busy. Actually, I'm updating it from work. I'm hanging around to help out decorating the building, and to help out with the "Pictures With Santa" booth that we're going to have.

Our Christmas Parade is tomorrow night & I've been really busing working on getting it put together. This morning, I ran all over town (and to San Ygnacio, about 15 miles north of here) delivering packets to all of those schools & businesses who are either participating in the parade, or having a booth in the Plaza afterwards.

The town of San Ygnacio is interesting, interesting mainly because it's about the only town around here, older than 50 years, that is not underneath Falcon Reservoir. Every year, they have a holiday homes tour & that will be taking place this Sunday. I was kind of halfway thinking about coming, then I talked to Ms. Villarreal, who is the principal at A.L.Benavides Elementary school in San Ygnacio. I think I will probably go. (although, I have to contend with the Chargers-Broncos game on Sunday...) Anyway, I will plan on taking lots of pictures (I'll try to take lots of pictures tomorrow night at the parade too). I think that it's important for me to know more about the area & it's history & it's people.

So...the San Diego Chargers are in first place in the AFC West! I'm pretty darn excited.

What else...I mowed the yard Friday afternoon, and Saturday. That's something.

I invited Barry, my neighbor, over for Thanksgiving dinner. I baked some chicken breasts (with diced onions & pineapple over them), had mashed potatoes (real ones), sweet potatoes (with marshmallows), stuffing, gravy, green beans and apple pie (Mrs. Smith's).

Tomorrow is going to be a pretty long day, I'm hoping to go home for a while in the afternoon, before coming back to town to get ready for the parade.

Anyway, I'd better go

Be good everybody
