Looking West after Sunset on December 11 Posted by Hello
Hey, you probably thought that you lost me...I'm still here. I have been very busy the last 8 or so weeks. I still love my job & the people that I work with are still great. There is a lot of work whipping an office (and a boss) into shape. I think that my boss would like to have things go more quickly; the problem is, she is really the bottleneck in all of our processes. For example: She has been using "Quick Books" accounting software. The problem is that nothing had been reconciled since October of 2003! For about the past week, there has been a hold-up in the process. Peggy (my boss) had entered in one "lump-sum" debit in March 2004, however, of the 4 checks that made up the large debit, only 2 cleared in March...because Ruby & I are new to Quick Books, we keep trying to get Peggy to fix it, so we can get the remainder of the statements reconciled...bt Peggy is never around. She did not even come into work on Friday...

OK, let's just leave it at work is a challenge, and move on...

To get everyone up to date on what has been going on...

We had a "White" Christmas. Probably the first ever for South Texas. We didn't get much here (not even an inch) but it was nice.

I flew up to Kansas City on December 31, I got to visit friends & relatives. It was a really great trip. I got out as the weather was starting to turn bad on the 4th (an ice storm was starting).

Let's see what else...at work I am working on updating our website www.zapatausa.com
(check it out) I am going to try to use some of my pictures on the site. Maybe some of my Dad's too.

Well, I just thought I'd update this. I need to start dinner so I will leave it at this. I will add a few pictures.

Until next time,

Be good everybody
